APA BAZAAR – Buy and Sell Smart, Stay Safe Always!

We want every deal on APA BAZAAR to end with a smile, not stress. Scammers are creative, but you can be smarter. Follow these simple rules and keep your money and peace of mind intact.

Golden Rules That Protect Everyone

Trust the stars – always check ratings and reviews

Before you chat, before you pay, before you even travel – scroll to the seller’s profile and read what others are saying. A seller with plenty of happy buyers and real comments is usually safe. No reviews or sudden flood of fake-looking 5-stars? Walk away.

Cash only changes hands when the item does

Real sellers don’t mind waiting until you collect the item. Never send mobile money, bank transfer, or crypto before you hold what you came for. “Pay small deposit first” = the national anthem of scammers.

Inspect it like your money depends on it (because it does)

Open the box, turn it on, test it, flip it over. Once you pay and the seller disappears, tears won’t bring your money back. If they rush you or say “battery is dead” or “no network here to test,” that’s a red flag bigger than a stadium.

Your bank details are for you and your bank only

No one needs your BVN, card PIN, OTP, or ATM details to “send you money” or “confirm payment.” Anyone who asks is 100 % trying to empty your account.

If the price makes you shout “Ah! Too cheap!” – it’s a trap

When the price is so cheap beyond the market price range its a red flag also watch for Distress sale tags or titles ,always do a due diligence as they say cheap is expensive.

Extra Protection by Category

Looking for a job?

  • Legitimate companies will NEVER ask you to pay for application, training, or “slot reservation.”
  • Interviews in residential houses or hotels? Politely leave.
  • Google the company name + “scam” before you submit any documents.

Buying a car or bike?

  • Test drive it yourself (or bring someone who knows engines).
  • Take it to your mechanic the same day – hidden accident damage and tampered odometers are real,or pay for inspection fee before purchase
  • All papers must match the car and the seller’s name. Customs papers alone without proper clearing documents? Run!

Hiring a service (plumber, tailor, graphic designer, etc.)?

  • Agree on price and exact work in writing (WhatsApp counts).
  • Pay a small mobilization only if you’re comfortable, and balance only after the job is done perfectly.
  • Meet first in a café or public place – not straight at your house.

Renting or buying property?

  • No “inspection fee,” “commitment fee,” or “hold the house” money before seeing the place with your own eyes.
  • Visit at least twice – different times of the day – and speak to neighbors or security.
  • Pay rent or buy directly to the landlord or registered agent, never to “agent’s personal account.”
  • Do a Due diligence before finalizing the deal.
